This GM IPO is looking worse and worse. If anyone tried to duplicate this shenanigan they would be in jail. The latest wrinkle is that GM is now allowed to carry forward all their losses of the old GM and claim a tax break for years to come. The amount is $45B.
Not only did the taxpayers have to take the initial hit, and then not get the benefit of subscribing to the IPO now they have to lose tax revenues of $45B. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/The-5-Dumbest-Things-on-Wall-tsmf-2687022059.html?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=5&asset=&ccode= --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/759e0f60b2fe4ab993256f522949c...@dual ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
