As posted earlier, I have this old old app which I decided to update to VFP9
(sp3)
Its a relatively straight forward smallish system that logs incoming phone
calls

Today it is running "live" and it reminded me I've already tried to update
the program to VFP9 but reverted to VFP6 once before.
I think when i tried before I didn't have any vfp9 service packs installed

Well, today it is doing the same as my earlier attempt.
I look up and the App has just shut down.
No messages, no warnings, no trail. It just shuts down
I now think it shuts down when there's an incoming phone call
If that's the case, it must be the ocx that does it (mscomm32.ocx)

Should I update this file ?
How can I tell what version i shuold be running/using ?
I can look at the date stamp of the ocx but is this all i need to do?
Is it even a good idea to replace/update this ocx
Or should I stay with vfp6 for this app.
At the end of the day, this app has run for 10 years, collected 200,000
incoming phone calls without a single crash
