Dumbass!

You two love birds belong together on this one. ;)

Is it getting warmer? Perhaps. Depends on the timeframe you cherry
pick. More recent data suggests overall cooling since 1998.

Is it caused by Greenhouse Gases? Perhaps, but of those carbon dioxide
is barely a blip on the statistical radar. Water vapor is by far and
away Numero Uno, and no wonder: the earth is 75% water!

Now what might be heating all that water? The SUN maybe? Which is
going through some various periods of inactivity and activity that may
in fact be far more influential on global change than the puny humans
who scurry on a fraction of its surface. Before you laugh consider --
just consider! -- that Mars' poles are also losing their caps. That's
a tough one to pin on Dubya.

Am I saying that man contributes nothing bad to the equation? No, but
I am not at all convinced by the current rationale -- carbon dioxide
-- or its ostensible solution -- carbon credits and government
takeover of the energy sector -- for handing my wallet, the internet,
the car industry, and who-knows-what-next over to Comrade Obama and
his merry band of ribald schemers -- most of whom are recycled
Marxists with political axes to grind, like their Boss.

"It ought never to be forgotten, that a firm union of this country,
under an efficient government, will probably be an increasing object
of jealousy to more than one nation of Europe; and that enterprises to
subvert it will sometimes originate in the intrigues of foreign
powers, and will seldom fail to be patronized and abetted by some of
them. Its preservation, therefore ought in no case that can be
avoided, to be committed to the guardianship of any but those whose
situation will uniformly beget an immediate interest in the faithful
and vigilant performance of the trust." [Federalist Papers #59]
