Kevin: I had this happen before where I could not copy a file. It was an issue in the Foxuser.dbf I opened the foxuser and found a reference to the file and deleted that record and all was right with the world again. Or the simplest way is to delete the foxuser completely (unless you have info in there). Regards,

XP Pro VFP 9 All of a sudden COPY FILE (src) TO (target) gives a "File Is in use" error. Likewise for the ERASE (cDir + "\*.*") statement. I've switched out the COPY FILE to a call through the WIN32API and I'm about to do a similar call for the ERASE statement but I was wondering if a Windows Update or an Antivirus change may have caused this? Has anyone seen anything like this before?
