Please tell me how to replace the following vfp functions with their equivalent T-SQL functions (for SQL Server)
NVL VAL they are used in a select statement like select a.account,a.invdate,a.invno,a.invamt,nvl(b.company,'') as company ; from invoices as a left outer join customers as b ; where a.account = val(b.account)........ This is a legacy vfp app that I have to convert to a SQL Server backend. The previous programmer made the account field in the customer table as type character and the account field in the invoices table as integer !!!
