This is interesting because it's a Hollywierd friend of Niel
Ambercromie, Mike Evans, basically coming out and saying after a
recent conversation with the doofus that he is stunned and shattered
to discover that, in fact, there is no birth certificate.

I have at various times wondered why Obama doesn't just authorize the
damn thing's release:

1. It's to bait the righties, so awesome a political positive is the
birther accusation. This works, until one of your own lefties takes
the bait and then has to swallow a hook, as has apparently happened to
Ambercrombie.

2. It's to obscure the fact that he was adopted by Lolo Soetero and
had his citizenship changed to Indonesia (and never properly
repatriated).

3. It's to hide that his real daddy is Frank Marshall Davis.

4. It's to hide the fact he was really born in Kenya.

Personally I think it's all 4 (who says it has to be either-or with
this total package farce of a "leader"?). But the thing won't go away,
and gets curiouser and curiouser the more his supporters try to put
the questions to rest.

Even Tingles at PMSNBC couldn't resist the question -- "Why doesn't he
just release the birth certificate and put the rumors to rest?"

Seriously. I have to produce it to get a drivers license at the DMV.
What's so damn private about a public record of birth?

Maybe, just maybe, he can't.

Most innocent explanation I can fathom: He's embarrassed to admit he
never properly changed his adopted name (Barry Soetero) back to Barack
Obama with the State of Hawaii. What's the problem with that? Well,
the COLB they "produced" would be exposed as a fraud, and that would
be a crime even if he was a natural born citizen.

But the "it was in a newspaper in Hawaii" argument is really, really
past its shelf life after this twit governor tried to "help" his hero
and discovered that the emperor has no birth certificate. At least,
none that he can afford to show without credible threat of deep, deep
legal doo doo one way or another.

"It ought never to be forgotten, that a firm union of this country,
under an efficient government, will probably be an increasing object
of jealousy to more than one nation of Europe; and that enterprises to
subvert it will sometimes originate in the intrigues of foreign
powers, and will seldom fail to be patronized and abetted by some of
them. Its preservation, therefore ought in no case that can be
avoided, to be committed to the guardianship of any but those whose
situation will uniformly beget an immediate interest in the faithful
and vigilant performance of the trust." [Federalist Papers #59]
