Is it? In both cases there is not enough time to ascertain a certain behaviour (car crashing/global warming) before being harmed by the results of that behaviour. In both cases the sensible action is to take measures just in case the behaviour turns to the worse case. It really surprises me when you people that are so quick to take defensive measures when it comes up to killing other people, and make up such terms as "preemptive war", "preventive war", "defensive war", "defensive attack", etc. etc., are so reluctant to take similar defensive measures when it comes up to giving life to other people/species. It seems it's ok to kill just in case, but it's not ok to bother to save energy just in case..... weird people that you are. > On 1/26/2011 2:42 AM, Ricardo Araoz wrote: >> El 25/01/11 13:58, Michael Oke, II escribió: >>> Records in both directions but since we seem to be looking at these in >>> the context of 150 years, which is but a blip in the history of this >>> planet, we actually have no idea whether or not this is to be concerned >>> about or not. >> So true!
