One thing that is confusing is I wrote c# code to connect and create a 
database only to find that something else I did earlier put connection code 
in web.config.
Not only that but it paths using \ instead of / which fails because its an 
escape code.
Im trying to get the sql manager which tells me my sql express 2008 is not 
compatible with my os (win7 pro). so now im trying to get sp2 of sql2008 
before i can get the manager.
See what that does.
I do agree with you, its probably a rights issue. bain of sql and one reason 
I hate it.

The creation of tables in a script you may be missing necessary
syntax.  Just a WAG there.
