John: Look at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk\Rasphone.pbk Under DEVICE=modem you will see the PhoneNumber that is the default for the modem In Win98 this was stored in the registry and Win2K and newer this is stored in this text file (but I am not sure about Vista...)
