I'm assuming that this is ctDate.ocx from DBI? If yes, then you probably haven't registered the OCX as Admin. I've had problems with Win7 acting like things are okay, but then throwing the OCX not registered error.
My solution is to activate and log in as the ADMINISTRATOR, then register the OCX with "regsvr32 ctdate.ocx" Make sure you are in the same folder as the ctdate.ocx file when you do...my experience is that the OCX can be anywhere. You can try to accomplish this by opening the command window as administrator (find the "command" option in your Win7 Start menu, right-click it and select run as admin.) You'll get a nice little DOS box command prompt. CD to the folder where the OCX file is located and run the regsvr32 command. This assumes you are running Win7 32-bit. If you're on 64-bit it may be a bit more difficult, but can still be done.
