We're going to be bidding on custom development projects for a new set of customers and I would like to upgrade the contracts we use for these projects.
In the past we've used a bunch of loosely cobbled together contracts based on our prior collection of contracts supplemented with some last minute legal review. While we've never run into any problems with this approach, I never felt like we were putting our best foot forward. We may have also skated past potential problems because we were working with long term clients with whom we've had already had excellent relationships. I'm looking for a book or online service that offers contract templates for custom software development that we can use as starter content for our new proposals. Of course I plan on having our final contracts reviewed by a professional, but I'd like to have a better and more consistent approach to our contracts before I do this.
