Pete, I actually ended up 20ft behind where the accident happened which is strange but then again I can't remember anything apart from looking in the mirrors and thinking ... "This is gonna hurt".

Dave was rear-ended. Smart seems to have only a foot or so of mostly air between the driver and the Hummer rear-ending him. Dave was farther forward on the bike.
