Yesterday had a conversation with the COO who devises all projects for us in Dev to do. His statement is that we will not RE-DO any existing application in a newer version ever. If business needs overwhelm an existing app then that app will be retooled to fit the business as it is today looking forward. The longer story is small tiny apps that did it all and if they needed a tweak they called an add on app. Some of our users have upwards of 8 - 12 in house apps running at the same time. This is VB6 and some VS2005. There is one replacement app in VS2010 for one group here. That reduced 6 apps into a single replacement. As other groups need to ad more or have rules change within their groups will have similar replacements as well. -- Stephen Russell Unified Health Services 60 Germantown Court Suite 220 Cordova, TN 38018 Telephone: 888.510.2667 901.246-0159 cell _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
