True, I still do new apps on VFP. I tell people that MS open sourced the
product. People are open to open source these days b/c of the cost savings
Fox has always had that advantage. It's especially cool when you package it
with MySQL.

Not only the Sedna stuff as you mentioned (which was added to the VFPX Open
Source project: http://vfpx.codeplex.com),
but all the XSource (includes Builders, Wizards, and all the XBase tools
like Code References, Class Browser, Task Pane
Manager, etc.), the Fox Foundation Classes (FFC), the VFP localizations, and
the VFP 9 SP2 Help file have been added to
VFPX as well.

When you think about it, almost everything but the core VFP9.EXE file is
open sourced.
