1. All Obama could do is to either reduce any federal tax on fuel and in doing that he'd have to raise taxes elsewhere or to nationalise the oil companies and sell oil at a fixed price. 2. China doesn't have a problem with Libya or most totalitarian states. In fact China is buying most of the worlds commodities to fuel it's expansion. 3. Get tough with OPEC... do what threaten them with... not a lot really... they could cut production and plunge everyone into a serious fuel crisis.. 4. Most of the OPEC countries are sovereign nations or unsavoury people like Iran.... They do not want rebel uprisings at any cost.
