Hello Jerry, Is this an application for sale?
#1 thing to remember is that there will be a bad guy somewhere that will be able to crack your program if he really wants to. The thing to do is to make this difficult, but not to taunt the script kiddies. You also need to make it easy for the 'good' customers to try out your program, purchase, register, and to make this process as easy as possible. 'Refox' can obfuscate your code inside of a foxpro application, so that helps with that aspect. I'm going through this process right now with an application I'm trying to get ready for sale (again). I'm switching from a PayPal cart over to FastSpring.com. They're supposed to have some of the best Customer Service out there. I'm going to have 45 days of free usage and then require the customer to purchase. During the payment process, they enter their name and their email address. FastSpring will hit a PHP page that generates the key for that user. The user enters their Name and email address and key into the application and it is unlocked.
