Noticed something odd yesterday...
On my desktop XP box I have a scheduled task that is supposed to run every 4 hours. User called up (the beneficiary of the output of the task) and said it was out of date. I looked at Scheduled Tasks and it said it last ran at 10am (at the time it was around 330pm). I checked on the task config and saw verbiage about "don't run if on batteries" or similar. Turned all that off - just run the damn thing regardless of login or batteries or earthquakes or... Checked it this morning and it appears to have been running as planned. I'm wondering if by coincidence my computer was idle and went to sleep at the scheduled time, sent a signal that says (even though it's a desktop) that is was 'on batteries', and that's what caused it to skip running the task?
