Hi Ken,

That looks basically like automation, which I'm ok with, but won't work on the machine in question (no Access, no plans to install it) In fact, it won't even work on my computer for the same reason. Your code throws the error you said it would if Access wasn't installed.

I do have the MS Access ODBC on my computer, and I can use that to create an MDB just fine using the connection wizard. I was just wondering what commands were behind the connection wizard, and was hoping I could use them to create an MDB on the fly.
