By caching do you mean SMB2? If not could you point me closer so I could
investigate please. Some cache settings have been changed after regular
corruption of CDX files but this was done by another interested party sometime
ago.

The hub is brand spanking new and hi spec, but we had exactly the same problem
with the old switch so I don't think this is the cause (both switches were 1g
across the board)

How could I track down a rogue?

All cards in the building reporting a 1gig connection in the status screen and
all cabling has recently been tested to rule it out

The infrastructure is all brand new running at 1000 across the board and
bridged cards on the server giving us 2000 I believe?

Thanks

Chris.

1. Cacheing on the server
2. Slow hub/switch
3. Rogue network card sending flood broadcasts 3. Cheap network cards not doing
auto sensing of speed correctly and defaulting to low speed (You can force to
whatever speed you want)

What speed is the infrastructure running at? 100Mb is definitely too slow with
any amount of data to ship up/down the lan

What's the general opinion if the following combo is slow?

Anti Virus has been explored.

Thanks

Chris.
