Hey Desmond, Just curious - why would it get so ugly to move it to VFP9? If you have screen designs - can't they just be ported to VFP9 from FPW? And, if its mostly code - shouldn't that simply require a re-compile?
And - if it turns out that it may get Ugly - maybe you need some assistance... hint, hint... :-) -K- -----Original Message----- From: ProfoxTech [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Desmond Lloyd Sent: Tuesday, October 23, 2012 12:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: FoxPro for Windows: 64-bit Machines Fox related. Perhaps even talked about quite a bit. Have this old FoxPro for Windows Application. Will not run in XP compatible mode on a Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit Operating System... Have gotten it to run using the XP Virtual Machine. Works, a little clumsy in that you have to fire up this whole new version of the OS, but it works! However, my client is concerned about support and practicality with our present population of users. It will be pushed out to at least ten different sites. Does any know of a way by which a FoxPro for Windows application can be ran on a 64-bit machine. Reviewing a conversion to VFP9, but could get ugly....
