Patches for updates to the ftpmail script are highly encouraged! If the Mail-Sendmail package is not to your preference, what would you suggest/prefer using instead? > How do we plan to support the ftpmail? Those distributions do not include ftpmail in their _packages_, but that is a very different thing that not including the script in the _source_ release of ProFTPD. If you don't/can't use the ftpmail script on your systems, then don't use it.
