Hi,
I am trying to install progeny onto a low-end Gateway 2000 Server. It has a
ServerWorks Dual PIII board with a Symbios 53C1010-33 SCSI card. The
installer is not recognizing the SCSI card and so I am unable to see and
partition my hard drive. Is there a loadable module or anything that I can
load to take care of this? Is it a kernel issue or do I just have to wait
for a newer version of Progeny to come out?
I also ran into this problem on another of the same machines doing an SUSE
7.1 (which also uses a 2.2 kernel) install, but SUSE has an option to load
additional modules into the kernel after the initial boot. You are able to
load a module for a 53C8xx series card that seems to work fine with the
model we have.
Finally, I have installed RedHat 7.1 (2.4 kernel used for install) on an
identical machine without any workarounds of any type.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
