I have a brand new AMD 1.4GHz machine, with a GeForce2 card and a 3Com 905C
ethernet connection. It is an ASUS A7A266 MB with CMedia sound on
board. Devices are a floppy, 2 CD (a Pioneer DVD and a TEAC CD/RW) and 2 IBM
20GB disks. Has 512Mb of 2100 RAM. A sweet machine.
The install only works from the slave CD (the TEAC), but that's OK. However, I
never got a network connection (though the card works fine from Windows, and a
regular Debian install went fine as well, network in fact). One of our local
managers looked at it and were stumped. All we could see was that
transmissions were working but no receives (TX count went up, RX was always
0). It is a fixed IP address, no dhcp.
Card is fine, any ideas?
