Janusz, in the /etc/dhclient.conf file there is a series of variables that
can be changed for dhcp client info. Try uncommenting and editing the line
`send hostname "<hostname>";` That worked to help me with a Win2K
DHCP/Dynamic DNS server that wasn't registering my Progeny system hostname. I
didn't change anything else in that file, although you might want to. man 5
dhclient.conf for more info.
