That's in fact quite easy.

Do a 'su', go to /etc/gdm/Sessions
Open your favorite editor so for example vi and do
vi Blackbox

it will open the editor and will save it as Blackbox.
In this textfile simply give the path to your windowmanager. In this case Blackbox:
/usr/bin/blackbox
Save the file.

Then do a 'chmod a+x Blackbox'

Now if you log out and log in again you will find Blackbox as one of the options to 
directly startup.
