dclick doesn't have any effect, is treated as a single click (except for
editing selectors, see below).
clicking a result cell toggles the setting of 'detail'. When detail is
set, you see the shape(s).
CTRL-click toggles detail, and sends a command up the tree to make the
same change.
Thus, if you want detail on everything, you should CTRL-click the final
result. But don't click it first - that would set detail, and the
subsequent CTRL-click would clear detail everywhere.
When you have detail on intermediate results, you get selectors, which
allow you to doubleclick and specify an operand cell.
Specifying operand cells is all the 'editing' you get to do - the
sentence has been executed, and you are analyzing the result of execution.

because your input to ds doesn't match the definition of g.
Both grids seem correct, though it's not much fun when you can't click anything.

Yes, I meant J7/GTK. As I understand it, grid requires GTK (if not, I could
try to do what's needed to run grid without GTK).
All praise should go to the authors of grid and gtkwd, which made the port easy.
