Devon, et al, I realize now that I did not give Cliff credit for his description of "median filters" as being the likely inspiration for my routine. I apologize for that oversight. Cliff goes on to say that such filters are *not* multiplicative, which I acknowledge, but I was hoping someone could construct a multiplicative or other re-expression of my verb sample.
