Any self-contradictory sentence will usefully replace Strunk and White's
Elements of Style. Here's a nice article by a nice person, which links to a
not-so-nice article by a linguistic professional
http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/strunk-and-white.aspx. (The second one
is more fun to read.)
