As my iPad doesn't permit sending emails in a fixed font and a big problem is 
that spaces and numerals don't have the same width, I have devised a boxed 
display to be read from the left edge of the page.  It shows the vertical edges 
of boxes, uses spaces for the corners, and leaves the horizontal edges to your 
imagination.

You are invited to comment or improve and to supply the explicit verb  lebd  
(left edge boxed display) which assumes a boxed right argument.
