Thanks for reporting the missing dot in jhelp. Fixed in the latest JHS update.

I agree pasting multiple lines would be nice. No technical reason,
just not a priority. I will add it to the list.

JHS gives 2 somewhat clumsy workarounds:

1. esc J  +  paste  +  ctrl+r

2. use menu action|scratch instead of jijs

These aren't the same as direct paste as they run under load verb so
there is the difference between =. and =: but there is the possible
advantage that you can edit before the run., and it is still there in
case you want to do it ataing.
