It's not the number of connections; it's the number of PENDING connections, that is, incoming connections that have not been accepted yet. You may have as many connections active as you please; just make sure you accept promptly.

At any rate, netdefs for win64 (and 32)  has this set at 5, while linux/android 
have it as 128.  I read somewhere that a practical limit on sockets in windows 
is 1024.  Can the number in netdefs be increased?
