I guess the base library is correct because that line will only be
executed if UNAME is not defined. The jqt defines it during starting
and Michael's J console should also do the same as seen from its
source.

Until Michael has it fixed, some temporary workarounds include
installing the busybox app which provides a uname command (if your
android is rooted), or manually edit that line (should be inside
stdlib.ijs) to say,

   UNAME=: 'Android'
