I don't think kfiles provides a lock facility. With a bit of digging you might be able to figure out how to use 1!:31 to lock the relevant area of the file. It might be easier to have a companion file to the kfile where each byte represented the corresponding index in the kfile and use 1!:31 on that file. There might be easier solutions depending on the exact problem.
