I had similar problems and the only way to fix it (at least that's the only
thing that fixed this for me) is to reinstall it. Even the last line on
http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Guides/Qt%20IDE/Install says that. Qt
installed with install 'all' never did work smoothly for me. Here's what's
worked for me: install a fresh copy of j801, then install 'qtide' and then
do install 'all' (either from jconsole or jqt).

Also starting jqt by double clicking jqt.cmd or creating a direct shortcut
link gives weird errors. Since I use cmd shell enough I just type jqt in it
and works without any problems. You could try creating a shortcut with
target as "cmd /c jqt" and see if that works.
