Great idea Henry - a J test! After seeing Henry's quiz (on which I did
poorly), I realized that a J test could be a great way to get people
interested in J. People like challenges and games, and often enjoy seing
their scores compared with others (especially if one can opt out of the
public scoring). A J test, or set of tests, with automatic grading, could
be a great way to promote interest in J, as well as help users get an idea
of their J skill level.

You could expand Henry's test by adding problems with a wide range of
difficulty. With say, 100 test questions at all skill levels, you could
categorize the scores: 1-20 = Beginner, 21-40 = Junior Programmer, 41-60 =
Capable, 61-80 = Expert, 81-100 = J Guru

Another approach would to provide a series of several tests, with each test
being harder than the previous one. One would not be able to access the
subsequent harder test until they correctly completed the current one. This
would let users learning J to judge their J skills (and perhaps boast about
the level they have reached), as well as providing a fun way to help
newbies learn J.

Great idea Henry!
