I agree that the failure should be caused by firewall and J is un-related,
but it is also interesting that the sdcheck instead of memr should be
responsible for raising the domain error even there are communication
errors.  I suspect there are some bugs in socket addon in that it fails to
catch some corner conditions.  However since we are unable to duplicate the
error, it is hard to get a fix for it.
