I don't have a 64 bit machine so I haven't been experiment with jd.
However, I'm interested in using color to analyze real data arrays.

This is only a sample of random data, but you could replace RT with some
larger chunk of real data as well.

 

My instinct is that color would be helpful for analyzing real  data.  Run
the code below in a new temp folder in jqt.

In the terminal is a random table of numeric data.  You will also have 6
viewmat  images which you can move aroud on the screen. Also you can
maximize the image if that helps answer my question.

 

  Can you use the images to locate the second largest number in the entire
table.  Also can you locate the one larger than the smallest.  

 

When you run the code again you will get a new random table to analyze.
When you have an answer to these two questions, please answer these two
questions. Any interesting observations would also be helpful.

 

Which of the six images is most helpful?

 

Are you colorblind?
