I thought I wasn't even able to have 64 bit call a 32 bit targets, on
windows at least. I haven't tried lately, but MSDN suggests it's not
possible:

"On 64-bit Windows, a 64-bit process cannot load a 32-bit dynamic-link
library (DLL)"

If you're on Windows, you might need to come up with some other
interop layer (like a 32-bit process with the 32-bit dll and interop
between the 32 bit process and 64 bit process... )
