J TECH Grade 1 Teacher Handbook

This dialog is the result of running the handbook script. It would be
important to have Grade 1 and Grade 2 teachers work together.

The first step is to learn how to install J in laptops, notebooks and
phones. See http//:www.jsoftware.com and follow the directions under
download.

Once you install and run jqt you can open temp and paste in scripts and run
them. Use the scripts. Summary and Handbook show how the results when the
scripst are run, but with verb names and some explanations added.

This script shows verbs for classroom mamagement. They manipulate strings of
words. They show how lists of names can be reordered randomly. It is also
possible to assign students to random small groups or make a list of an
entire class to be sure to call on each student once. Then another day make
a different list.

The names of new verbs allows you to find more information about them in the
vocabulary list or NuVoc. Both provide more examples of each one.

The next group of verbs are designed to help you make worksheets for your
classes. All Grade 1 classes are not alike, so some classes may use only a
small part of the summary. In some cases, classes may even go beyond it. A
review question can be formed that is appropriate at any time.

If you make a table worksheet in JQT you can edit the font size and print.
Also you can print and then adjust the size with the copy machine.

As you become more comfortable with the language you will be able to design
examples which model what you are trying to teach yourself. Above all enjoy
the experience.
