I use both (Dyalog and J) regularly. When you are used to one way the other way can seem annoying, counter-intuitive, clumsy, you name it, ... because your fingers seem to retain a memory of how things work. But it doesn't mean the other way is wrong.
One difference is Dyalog treats the session log as semi-sacrosanct, and the only thing you can do to it is to delete sections of text from it using a comparatively laborious process. I often wish it (editing the Dyalog session log) were easier.
