There's probably very good utilities for this, but these are some simple
alternatives to that might be useful.

text=: 'God in Heaven, who makes near what is far, knows that we know what
our power is.'

i0=: a. i. text

i1=: i0 e. 97+i.26

(i0-32*i1){a.

i0=: a. i. text

i1=: (i0 >: 97) *. (i0 <: 97+26)

(i0-32*i1){a.

i0=: a. i. text

a. {~ i0 - 32 * (i0 >: 97) *. (i0 <: 97+26)

c1=: (]-32* (97+i.26) e.~ ])

convert=: a. {~ c1@ (a. i. ]) f.

But these only convert from lower to upper, and only work on text, not
boxed text or files.
