That worked for me. Linda's code is working for me, now. So I should go back and re-read her email, now that I've got my problems resolved.
Here are the steps that I took: (1) In J's package manager install all updates. (2) Exit J (3) delete the old .png files (4) Restart J (5) Rerun Linda's code. Probably step 3 was unnecessary, since the files should have been overwritten. Ideally, J's 'require' would be 'version aware' to avoid this kind of problem. But if there are any binary changes you still need to restart, for overall efficiency reasons.
