Thanks John (you can call me Pepe), Managing just “short tacits” (one can do a lot of damage with a line of tacit code ;) ) has not prevented you from being very productive and, ultimately, that is what really matters.
How do I do it? The short answer is the punchline of the Carnegie Hall joke : "Practice." (Having powerful tools, facilitates the task a great deal. Unfortunately, many of these tools come in the form of adverbs or conjunctions and J provides only marginal tacit support for the former and none for the latter. However, a controversial feature/bug (related to (0:`)(,^:)) is Deus ex machina for adverbial tacit writers and makes it easy to produce such tools after clearing the initial hurdles. I am in the process of assembling a toolkit compatible with a current official J interpreter for those who might like to try it.)
