I was able to reduce the maximum line length using
9!:37 ] 0 180 8 8
(default is 0 256 0 222, where 256 is max line length). Now the lines
don't wrap in my jconsole.

of the information onscreen for each line take a look at the 9!:37
foreign conjunction.
