working with html, a pre tag enclosing the entire copied session is likely to 
format it "right".  Your editor may have a "blockquote" function that ensres a 
single edit.

Perhaps this is a deficiency of qt ide. Targets such as
msword accept rtf, so that qt ide should copy both plain text
and rtf (text+font) into clipboard.  This will ensure proper
font format when pasted into targets.
