I'm still playing intermittently with J Android on my new(ish) phone.
A week or so ago I reinstalled J Android - it turned out to be J8.07.
In that version, Tools/Package Manager appeared to work satisfactorily.
Wondering what Beta level version 9.01 of J Android had reached, I
reinstalled the apk file from jsoftware.com/download/j901 .
I see it's still at level l ("ell") - that's ok, I know it lags behind
versions for
other architectures.
But - when I tried using Tools/Package Manager, its page/window seemed
unresponsive, and returning to the "J Android" window, there are several
instances of (NB - typing anew, not copy/pasting), each presumably
reporting
one of my efforts to get a "button" (eg INSTALL, UPDATES, NOT INSTALLED)
to do something:
|ill-formed name: _1
| ({."1 wdq) =:wd_val
I expect addons can be checked and installed using load 'pacman', though
that's
an unexplored avenue for me, apart from updating the base for new betas.
Thanks,
Mike

I guess while dissect can be ported to jandroid but it will take too much
effort.

Dear all,
why am I getting this?
require 'debug/dissect'
dissect '(i.4) + i.4'
domain error
|domain error: wd
| wd DISSECT
Error during initial display
My pacman tells me I have the latest dissect 4.6.39/4.6.39
Thanks and regards
