Thanks, Brian, I must have been lucky when I picked @: instead of @
(still learning). I was using the explicit version (which turns out to
be fast too) before I decided to try tacit.

I also tried e^x/(1+e^x)

sigmoid3=: (%>:)@:^

Twice the space, only a bit faster.
