A BIG THANK YOU TO ROB HODGKINSON for solving the problem! And thank you as well to Raul Miller for providing the identity of the 3 invisible characters at the beginning of the big original file! I'll bet they were automatically stripped off when I made a copy of the beginning of the big file for testing purposes, and that might explain the difference between the two files. Now it's a snap to load that big file (from Investing.com) for my charting and analysis purposes! Thanks again to everyone who contributed ideas toward the solution!
