When I followed your instructions to upgrade my existing (working) j902 installation to beta-n (using jqt, not jcon, but it has worked before)…
load'pacman' 'upgrade'jpkg'jengine' …went through fine. But when I re-started jqt I got the following message: |nonce error: boot | bind=:2 :'x@(y"_)' |[-199] /Applications/j902/system/main/stdlib.ijs |value error: boxdraw_j_ | 0 0$ boxdraw_j_ 0 No JVERSION -- it was not created. jcon gave a similar message. I'm running macOS Catalina (10.15.7) on the affected machine. Might this be an oversight and easily fixed, or was my existing j902 installation (beta-d, I think) just too old for a simple upgrade of jengine to work? Are other people getting a similar message, or is my installation broken in a unique way?
