Present: Art Anger, John Baker, Will Gajate, Jon Hough, Devon McCormick, Raul
Miller, Bob Therriault

        • Will reported that the next step on the road to J playground is to
develop the front end for the javascript engine that Joe Bogner has provided.
Jon and he will work together with a template similar to the one used for BQN
https://razetime.github.io/bqn-repl/
        • Bob ran the first 2 and half minutes of the 'non-math' billboard
video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTBBhKCxxoA The 'math' version has been
abandoned because it did not present the sort of simplicity that would attract
users to the language.
        • Then the landing page was discussed and Bob showed some of the
changes that had been made
https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Wiki/prototype_landing_page and that the
buttons for the different users would be accompanied by a description to
provide direction. Devon suggested putting the buttons below the generic
description and above the more detailed one. This would allow the detailed
description to be lengthened while still keeping the viewers' focus on the
buttons.
        • Then there was a discussion about the ways that transcription errors
should be handled in archival documents. It was decided that transcription
errors would be corrected, errors in original documents would use errata and
out of date documents would be either noted with the version that was
operational at the time of publishing or, if still useful at the present time,
have an updated version attached so that as much as possible working code would
be provided.

If you are interested in getting more involved with any aspect of the wiki
development, please respond on the general forum.
